Discover the beautiful surroundings of Venlo and the national parks. North Limburg is a flat area and that has advantages for cyclists and walkers! Nature is versatile: from green forests, deep purple moors, to the vast landscape of the Peel or the Maas. North Limburg has two national parks: De Maasduinen and De Groote Peel. Don't forget to get off your bike along the way to enjoy the various regional products, such as dairy, fruit, mushrooms, blueberries and of course asparagus. We have excellent rental bikes for you and of course we will gladly provide you a map. In addition to regular bikes, you can also rent e-bikes (electric bikes) at the hotel reception. 

You can already rent a bicycle from € 15.00 per day and an E-bike from € 25.00 per day.

Deposit: €50 per bike.

We have a covered and closed bicycle shed. Here you can also charge your electric bicycle.

Bike rental is available for hotel guests only.

The region has several nature parks, all these areas are maintained by the Limburg Landscape Foundation. From Van der Valk Hotel Venlo you can be in nature in no time and you can walk or cycle into one of these parks.

Discover the area with the route maps below. Do you go cycling, mountain biking, hiking or running? It's all there. But there is also an extensive bridle path for horse lovers. You can easily download the maps or consult them on the go via our website.

Only 3 kilometers from the hotel is the Dairy and Dairy Farm 'Brosa', the place where Mark and Ineke make fresh dairy products from the milk of their own cows. Taste it yourself in the fresh yogurt on our breakfast buffet. Have you tasted it yet? Take a look at the stable at the lookout point, which is open daily from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The family business of the Görtz family in North Limburg has been in existence for more than 150 years. We have a long history of growing fruit on the fertile banks of the Meuse. At the moment we grow morel (cherry), various types of pears, mirabelles, plums and apples.
